Faber, the weekly insert dedicated to training of the newspaper “La Provincia di Lecco” and “La Provincia di Sondrio”, published an interview with Giuseppe Baldacchino, Head of the Elemaster Group’s HR department, in which he analysed crucial issues such as the induction of young people into the company, collaboration with local schools and universities, internship and continuous training activities, emphasising the importance of these initiatives for the growth and development of technical and professional skills for the Elemaster Group.
Collaboration with local high schools is a priority: the institutes of Viganò in Merate, Badoni in Lecco, Salesians in Sesto San Giovanni are just some examples. Through partnerships with local institutes the company promotes internships and academies that give students the opportunity to acquire practical skills directly in the field. Mr. Baldacchino explains that the selection is rigorous, aimed at identifying the necessary skills and providing continuous support to new recruits through employment contracts designed to enhance investment in the resource. Ongoing training allows employees to constantly update their technical skills, thanks to qualified tutoring programs and tailor-made training courses.
Elemaster has also close ties with universities, such as the Milan Polytechnic, for the attraction of young engineers who have just graduated, and the Group is now looking to expand its collaborations in South Italy too, to strengthen its design activities. In fact, young graduates can express their potential in a multidisciplinary context that allows them to approach different application sectors such as electro-medical, industrial automation and many others characterised by high technological content.
The Elemaster Group is constantly committed to the professional growth of its employees, pairing new recruits with industry experts who guide young people through a path of internal and external growth and training (Elemaster’s Academy). This prepares trainees for roles of greater responsibility and, above all, helps them develop and consolidate their professional skills.
As Mr. Baldacchino states:
‘Our Academies represent a structured gateway to human resources management and are necessary to support the steady and accelerated growth taking place in recent years at Elemaster.’
The continuous investment in HR highlights the Group’s focus on management that is closer to the needs of employees, with HR business partners operating directly in the field. This approach strengthens internal cohesion and ensures the development of a competent and motivated workforce, as Elemaster truly recognizes the value that personal growth can give to work.
